SAVUOL NGO
PMHNP, ARNP
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and a licensed Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP). I was born in Vietnam, and my family immigrated to the United States as refugees. I was raised in Philadelphia, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Holy Family University.
I completed my Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner training at New York University and provided primary and inpatient medical care to underserved communities throughout Philadelphia. During this time, I recognized a recurring and concerning pattern: many patients suffered from significant mental and emotional distress that was either unrecognized or inadequately treated, contributing to worsening physical health and diminished quality of life.
This realization led me to pursue advanced training in psychiatry. I earned my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management. As I transitioned into psychiatric practice, I found my true calling in caring for individuals across the lifespan who are navigating complex mental health challenges.
As a Christian and a clinician, I believe healing involves caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. For patients who desire it, I offer Christ-centered, faith-integrated psychiatric care that incorporates Christian values, prayerful reflection, and biblical perspective alongside sound medical and psychiatric treatment. This approach is always guided by the patient’s preferences and is never imposed.
My goal is to provide compassionate, ethical, and clinically excellent care while walking alongside patients who wish to integrate their Christian faith into their mental health treatment. All care—faith-based or otherwise—is grounded in respect, professionalism, and evidence-based practice.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
My mission is to serve others with compassion, integrity, and humility. As a nurse practitioner, I believe meaningful healing begins with being heard. I take the time to listen carefully and empathetically, allowing me to develop personalized treatment plans that align with each patient’s goals, needs, and values.
As a solo provider, I work directly with every patient and remain personally involved throughout their care. I strive to create a calm, respectful, and safe environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and participating actively in treatment.
As a Christian, I believe in caring for the whole person. For patients who desire it, I offer faith-integrated psychiatric care that incorporates Christian principles alongside sound medical and psychiatric treatment. This approach is always optional and guided by the patient’s preferences.
